The service shows which queries bring people to your site and to your market neighbors' sites, how positions change, and what keeps a page from ranking higher. The latest plans add tools for tracking brand visibility in AI search answers.

A subscription is for people for whom search traffic is part of their income. That means freelancers, owners of small sites, SEO specialists, marketers, and agencies that handle several clients.

Below, we'll look at what a user pays for, how money is charged, which payment methods work, and how to set up a subscription through Mirocard.

What you pay for in Semrush

A paid plan gives you the working volume that free access doesn't. Plans limit the number of sites and keywords the service tracks every day. A free account is enough to look at the features, but for regular work, the limit runs out quickly.

The SEO plan suits freelancers and small businesses. It has 5 sites, 500 keywords for daily tracking, keyword research, competitor analysis, position tracking, and a site audit. It has no AI search tools.

Starter is built for small teams and agencies. On top of the same limits, it adds content optimization and an AI visibility block with 50 queries a day. Pro+ is for growing teams with several markets, with 15 sites, 1,500 keywords, and historical data. Advanced suits organizations that need API access, 40 sites, and 5,000 keywords.

Additional users and some tools are paid for on top of the plan, so the final amount is sometimes higher than the price on the plan card.

How Semrush subscription billing works

Semrush accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express bank cards. For annual subscriptions, the help center also mentions checks and bank transfers, but for most users the main method is a card.

The price depends on the period. The plans page has a "Monthly" / "Annually" toggle, and annual billing gives a discount of up to 17%. The card shows the monthly price, but with annual billing, Semrush charges the whole 12-month amount at once, so the card has to cover it in full.

The first payment can be postponed. Many plans start with a free 7 days, and today €0 is charged to the card. On day seven, the subscription starts, and the service charges the full price. Prices in the form are shown in euros, and when you change the card, Semrush checks it with a $1 trial payment that isn't a charge.

Can you pay for Semrush with cryptocurrency

Not directly. Semrush's help center lists Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express cards, plus checks and transfers for annual plans. Among the methods, there's no wallet and no address to transfer coins to.

So coins need to be turned into balance on a card. The route through an exchange is long. You have to sell coins, withdraw money to a bank account, wait for it to arrive, and pay. For an annual subscription, the amount is large, and the exchange rate has time to change along the way.

First, issue a card. We covered sign-up, issuance, and the first top-up in the guide to issuing a card. Once the details appear in your account, top up the balance. For an annual plan, the card needs to hold the whole annual amount with a buffer for currency conversion.

Open the Semrush plans page. At the top is the "Plans & Pricing" heading, and under it a list of toolkits and a "Monthly" / "Annually" toggle. Choose "Annually" if you want the discount of up to 17% and are ready to pay for a year at once. In the example, the "SEO + AI Search" toolkit is selected.

Below are four cards. "SEO" suits freelancers and small businesses that need keyword research, positions, and an audit. "Starter" is for small teams and agencies that track both regular search and AI. "Pro+" is taken by growing teams with several markets and sites. "Advanced" is built for organizations that need more sites and API access.

Click "Try for free" on the card you want to start with the free period. If you don't need the trial period, click the "subscribe" link under the button. On the "Advanced" card, instead of a trial button there's "Subscribe," with a "try custom plan" link next to it for configuring your own set.

The "Subscribing to" page opens. The "Next charge" row shows the amount of the next charge, "Next charge date" the date, and "Billing" the period, for example once every 12 months. Check them against the plan, because with annual billing, the amount equals the price for the whole year.

Enter the Mirocard's details. The number goes in the "Card number" field, the expiration date in "MM / YY," and the code on the back in "CVC/CVV." The "Business number" field is optional and is filled in only when signing up as a company.

A refund isn't always possible. The seven-day guarantee applies to the first purchase of a 12-month plan paid by card. Monthly subscriptions and renewals don't fall under it, and cancellation itself doesn't return money.

You change the card in "Subscription Info," in the "Billing info" section. If a payment fails because of insufficient funds, the service retries on its own, and you can renew the subscription manually with the "Renew now" button.
