How to Pay for an ElevenLabs Subscription with Cryptocurrency
ElevenLabs is an AI-powered platform for working with voice. It voices text with realistic voices, clones a voice from a recording sample, and translates and dubs videos into other languages. It's used by video and podcast creators, game and app developers, marketers, and voiceover studios.
You can try ElevenLabs for free, but regular work and commercial use require a subscription. It's paid by card on the website and renews automatically.
We'll look at what the paid plans offer, how to subscribe, and what to watch after paying.
What an ElevenLabs subscription is for
All of ElevenLabs' features run on credits. Each generation deducts them from your balance, and the longer the text or video, the more credits it uses. Your plan determines how many credits you get per month and which features are available.
The free plan gives 10,000 credits a month. That's enough for about 10 minutes of voiceover, to judge the quality of the voices. But it has no commercial license, so the audio you create can't be used in monetized videos, ads, or products for clients.
The Starter plan unlocks a commercial license, instant voice cloning, more projects in Studio, commercial use of music, and the Dubbing Studio tool for dubbing. It includes 30,000 credits a month, three times as many as the free plan.
The Creator plan costs $22 a month and adds professional voice cloning. It's a higher-quality copy that the model trains on a long recording. For those who work with voice every day, the higher Pro, Scale, and Business plans have even more credits and features for teams.
If you're only trying the service, the free plan is enough. If you plan to publish voiceovers or clone your own voice, you should start with Starter at minimum.
Does ElevenLabs accept cryptocurrency
No. ElevenLabs accepts payment by bank cards, and cryptocurrency isn't among the payment methods. You can't pay for a subscription directly with coins.
The subscription is also charged automatically every month or year. That means ElevenLabs needs a payment method that can be used repeatedly, and a one-off cryptocurrency transfer doesn't fit.
How paying for ElevenLabs with cryptocurrency works
Cryptocurrency takes part in the payment not directly, but at the stage of topping up the card. A virtual card service accepts coins, credits them to your balance, and you transfer the amount you need to the card. ElevenLabs sees an ordinary Visa or Mastercard card and charges the payment to it.
The scheme looks like this. You send cryptocurrency from a wallet or an exchange to the card service, wait for the transaction to be confirmed on the network, and top up the card. Then you link the card to your ElevenLabs account and subscribe.
For renewals, keep an amount on the card that's enough for the next charge. It's most convenient to top it up with stablecoins like USDT or USDC. Their rate is pegged to the dollar, so the amount on the card won't shrink because of market swings.
Can you pay for ElevenLabs through Mirocard
Yes. Mirocard issues virtual Visa and Mastercard cards for paying for online services and subscriptions. You can link the card to your ElevenLabs account and use it to pay for any plan.
Mirocard is topped up with cryptocurrency. BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, TON, TRX, and SOL are supported. Coins arrive on your account balance, and from there you transfer the subscription amount to the card.
The subscriptions card, with issuance from $5 and a top-up fee from 4%, suits ElevenLabs. It supports recurring charges, so the subscription will renew itself as long as there's money on the card.
We showed how to issue the card in a step-by-step guide. Once it's ready, move on to subscribing.
Sign in to your account on the ElevenLabs website. Click the profile icon in the top right corner and choose "Subscription".
Choose a plan and proceed to payment. Compare monthly and annual billing. With annual billing, ElevenLabs gives two months free, but it charges the whole amount at once, so the card needs to hold enough money for a year ahead.
On the payment page, enter the number, expiration date, and CVC from your Mirocard account dashboard, provide your billing details, and confirm the payment. Your new plan's credits will appear on your balance right after the payment.
How to keep control of subscription spending
Look at the price of the second month. ElevenLabs sometimes gives a discount on the first month, for example on the Creator plan. After that, the subscription renews at full price, and the card needs to have enough money for it.
Keep track of credit usage. Different features and models deduct them differently, and dubbing and long voiceovers use up credits fastest. Check your remaining balance in your profile to see whether your current plan is enough for you.
Decide whether you want to pay extra for overage. On the higher plans, you can allow usage beyond the limit for an additional fee. It's handy when credits run out in the middle of a project, but without control, such extra charges add up quickly.
Account for tax. In some countries, ElevenLabs adds VAT to the price, for example in EU countries, and the final charge ends up higher than the plan's price. Check the amount on the payment page.
Build in the card top-up fee. At 4%, a $22 subscription will require a top-up of about $22.88, and with tax the amount will be even higher.
Cancel or change your plan in advance. Cancellation or a switch to a lower plan takes effect only at the end of the paid period. Unused credits expire, so it's better to use them before the period ends. You can do this through "Subscription" and "Manage subscription".
Conclusion
ElevenLabs is paid for by card on the website, and the subscription renews automatically. Choose a plan based on your task. For trying things out, the free plan is enough; for commercial voiceover, you need Starter at minimum; and for professional voice cloning, Creator will do.
After paying, keep an eye on credit usage and the renewal price. Then the subscription will bring you value, not unexpected charges.
